The fourth and fifth grade Creekview Chiefs put their spelling skills to the test on Wednesday morning as they competed in the school’s spelling bee.
Each student did their best and the competition was tight for some time. Three of the students came out triumphant, landing themselves in the top finalist positions.
Kanyon Christensen, Hailey Heugly and Avy Atwood were the last three students standing and will be moving on to the district spelling bee that will take place in February.
Heugly, in 5th grade, was awarded first place. Second and third place went to Atwood and Christensen, both in 4th grade, respectively.
