On Friday afternoon, family, friends and acquaintances gathered at the North Price LDS Stake Center to pay their final respects to Shaniel and David Scott Donaldson.

The turnout was overwhelming with standing room only. The family on both sides are determined to look ahead for the sake of the couple’s four children who have been left without a mother or father in the wake of this tragedy.

On Wednesday the family posted the following on Facebook:

Dear Family, Friends and Community,

At this time of great sorrow, we’ve had several people ask what they could do during this great tragedy. Here is what you could do! It’s called a heart attack! We are asking that you would bring a paper heart and write down your love, experiences and memories you have of them and then place it on the lawn, fence or home of Scott and Shaniel Donaldson (630 W. 300 S. Price, UT). What more meaning of love and support you could give than to give of your heart this Valentine’s Day!

Love- Donaldson and Oliver Family

Donations can be made at Zion’s Bank and Eastern Utah Community Credit Union.

Since that time the community has responded with love and support for the family and the children. The house, fence bordering both sides of the property, and the entire yard have been filled with hearts and messages of love and understanding.
