The Angel of Hope Statue of Carbon and Emery counties has finally found the “perfect spot” thanks to the members of the Price City Council.

The Angel of Hope Statue is for every parent who has lost a child of any age. The statue will provide a place of comfort, healing and also a way of remembering each child so they are never forgotten. An effort in bringing this memorial to Carbon and Emery counties has been in effect since the beginning of 2018.

Through multiple fundraisers to help bring the statue to the Castle Country area, nearly enough money has been raised to create one. Now, the statue has an official spot to be placed once it is created.

The statue will be placed in the Cliffview Cemetery, which is located behind Castle Heights Elementary, in Price.

Individuals can place a name on the base of the statue for the cost of $1,000 with the deadline of Aug. 30.

“We will be forever adding names to our memorial wall,” stated a post on the Angel of Hope Statue of Carbon/Emery County Facebook page. “But if you would like a name on the wall for the dedication, we will need the money soon. The cost is $100.”

The Facebook post then went on to explain that if a business would like to be a sponsor of the statue, they can message the Facebook page or contact Jo’Anne Smith by email at saltlakemedium@gmail.com.

A total of $10,000 is still needed to finish the product.
