Active Re-Entry, an entity that specializes in independent living programs, hosted its annual senior conference on Friday.

The conference began with a continental breakfast that followed registration at 8:45 a.m. Beginning at 9 a.m., Medicaid Eligibility Specialist Wendy Meyer then gave a presentation on Medicaid and long-term care. Meyer spoke on hot button issues such as medicaid seizing a person’s home, medicaid qualifications and more.

Following this presentation, Delight Organizing owner and Utah Professional Organizing Group member Christi Judd spoke to the listening crowd on down-sizing a family home. Judd focused on practical wisdom and heartwarming advice for an individual to know with certainty what to keep, toss or sell.

A short break commenced mid-morning. Following, a video presentation titled “Being Mortal” was shown to the attendees by Rocky Mountain Care LCSW Alison Marrelli. Dr. Curtis Watson then spoke on life after loss. The day ended with a lunch that was provided by Rocky Mountain Home Care.

The conference was free to all in attendance.
