An impressive turnout for the annual International Days horseshoe competition resulted in two tournaments taking place instead of the lone event that usually occurs at Price City’s celebration.

Event organizer Rochelle Badback split 35 teams between two tournaments, which resulted in an 18-team and a 17-team bracket. This allowed more teams the chance to win the cash pot.

“What an amazing turnout,” Badback said. “35 teams; that is our new record for International Days.”

In the 17-team bracket, Michael and Dustin Lofley took home the first-place prize. Bart and Colton Olsen came in second in the tournament followed by Rhett Popejoy and Ryan Olsen in third.

Ricky Niel Sandoval and Cody Allen earned first place in the 18-team bracket followed by Zach Rodriguez and Antonio Cordova in second. Josh Eden and Casey Norton rounded out the bracket in third.
