Balance Rock Eatery & Pub and Peczuh Printing were announced as the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce’s businesses of the year at the chamber’s installation and award banquet on Thursday evening.

As part of the chamber’s annual banquet, the two businesses were honored in front of a large crowd of chamber members for their local business efforts this past year.

Balance Rock Eatery & Pub boasts the designation in the small business sector. A Helper icon, Balance Rock is owned by Cindi Curry and Clay Iorg. The pair have brought delicious food and drink to Helper’s Main Street since 2011 when they bought the restaurant. In addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner served at the establishment, the owners also spend time catering and offering take-out.

Since owning and managing Balance Rock, the duo has become the proud owners of three other Helper businesses, including Happiness Within, Talk of the Town and R&A Market.

“Cindi dedicates her life to make Helper amazing,” the chamber shared. “She looks at Helper with love, making it her home as she cares for it as one of her own.”

In the arena of big businesses, Peczuh Printing took home the business of the year award. The business has been a constant in the community since 1962 when Frank Peczuh Sr. undertook the venture of opening his own businesses. His legacy continues today as his sons, Frank Peczuh Jr. and Tim Peczuh, lead the company.

Peczuh Printing is the parent to four locations, including the Price location as well as two others in Utah and one in Colorado, and employs 165 people.

““The thing that makes me happy is to watch Peczuh Printing employees succeed,” Frank said. “Printing is great, but at the end of the day, I feel much more pleasure in looking at their lives, seeing them work and provide for their families.”

The chamber also paid tribute to 22 Clothing at the banquet for winning the recent Best in Business competition. Owned by Brittnie Arroyo, 22 Clothing was deemed 2017’s best spot to holiday shot in Castle Country.
