Guests at the Balance Rock Eatery & Pub, located on Helper’s historic Main Street, were treated to something extra along with their meal on Tuesday evening.
Tara C. Allred, the author of “Helping Helper,” was invited to the establishment in order to do a singing for the new book. In the novel, a couple that is journeying to Salt Lake City find themselves broken down in Helper. The man then leaves the main character, Kora, behind to fend for herself in Helper.
Attempting to start over in art-centric town, Kora finds more than she had ever imagined. Many have praised this book and locals find it interesting to read a novel of their own town.
This signing took place for two hours at a table near the opening of the eatery. “Helping Helper” can be purchased online at websites such as Amazon.
