Press Release

The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on an environmental assessment for a vegetation treatment project in Carbon County.

If approved, the North Springs Habitat Enhancement Project would help to improve wildlife habitat and reduce wildfire risks. The proposed project is tied to Utah’s Watershed Restoration Initiative – a partnership based program that aims to improve watersheds throughout the state.

“Shared stewardship projects like this one are vital to managing sustainable, working public lands,” said Acting Price Field Manager Deej Brown. “The BLM welcomes and values your diverse views, and we are looking forward to getting your feedback.”

The environmental assessment is available for review online at the BLM’s ePlanning website: https://go.usa.gov/xRfMz.

Comments will be most helpful to the BLM if received by Sept. 20. Written comments may be submitted online at https://go.usa.gov/xRfMz, or mailed to the BLM Price Field Office, ATTN: North Springs Habitat Enhancement Project, 125 South 600 West, Price, UT 84501.

Before including an address, phone number, email address, or other personal identifying information in any comments, please be aware the entire comment—including personal identifying information—may be made publicly available at any time. Requests to withhold personal identifying information from public review can be submitted, but the BLM cannot guarantee it will be able to do so. All submissions from organizations and businesses, and from individuals identifying themselves as representatives or officials of organizations or businesses, will be available for public inspection in their entirety.
