In 2005, Tammy Oviatt and family purchased Gordon’s Floral Cafe and Garden. This business had been in the family for more than 30 years with the cafe as a recent addition to the business.

The family is proud to grow their own organic fresh produce to serve to patrons. Their meat is also naturally grown and the hamburger comes from local meat packer, Ungerman Meats. They make all their soups from scratch as well as featuring daily specials. The cafe offers catering services as well. Some of their specialties include wraps, ciabatta buns, sandwiches and a dinner menu. The hours for the cafe are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

There is always something growing in the floral shop, such as bedding plants in the spring. The garden specializes in poinsettias for the holidays. They are a full service floral shop, providing arrangements from weddings to funerals. Arrangements are always ready for purchase in their display cooler. They keep a good selection of fresh cut flowers and can get overnight delivery for special orders. The floral shop is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The family recently received a Main Street Incentive grant and are working toward making their image on highway 10 much improved. They have plans to plant grass, asparagus, grapes and fruit trees so they can grow farm-to-table food. Plans also include tables and chairs for patrons as wells as an ornamental fish pond. The company will be offering a petting zoo with mini horses, goats, sheep and some endangered species. Nice improvements and amenities are soon to be found at Gordon’s Floral Cafe and Garden.
