Cindi Pierce, owner and operator of the Southeastern Integrative Healing Arts Center since October of 2010, has been a massage therapist for 24 years. She was a real estate appraiser and a massage therapist for 15 years until she injured herself and started looking for ways to heal. Pierce’s focus shifted from real estate help to getting help for herself. In 2008, she started building the healing arts center. Pierce has always enjoyed helping people, with her outlook on holistic healing.

“I started The healing arts center at the BTAC but outgrew the space,” she said. “I then outgrew another space before eventually owning my own building.”

The Southeastern Healing Arts Center offers a variety of services including massage therapy, spa services, yoga classes, acupuncture, chiropractic care, body talk, life coaching, psychic medium and energy work.

If you have recently passed by the healing arts center you may have noticed a new building under construction, directly behind the original building. Pierce is excited about this unique addition to her business. “The Studio” will offer the opportunity to hold classes and expand on the educational side of her mission statement. Pierce looks forward to providing more yoga classes, Zumba, antigravity, mini retreats and so much more for the community.

“I think the whole place is unique,” she said. “People come for a variety of reasons but definitely leave more relaxed and less stressed.”

The Southeastern Healing Arts Center’s mission statement proudly states its promotion of awareness of a healthful mind, body, and spirit, through bodywork and education. Additionally, it states to have a sincere desire to help facilitate pain relief, reduce stress and move toward healing and wellness, and to ensure a commitment to excellence, a code of ethics, integrity, confidentiality, honor and respect.

Pierce gives back to the community through donations to various local causes and charities. The healing arts center also had a team at the recent Relay for Life event and provided massages to those walking.
