The Carbon High School Football used a 38-point second quarter to dominate Ben Lomond 41-2 Friday night in Price.

Dakota Cisneros starred offensively with two rushing and one passing touchdown.

Carbon’s defense played a huge game amassing seven turnovers, one of which was a 12-yard interception return for a touchdown by Nick Haycock.

Special teams play continued to be excellent as Tanner Gagnon drilled two field goals and made all five of his extra-point attempts.

Head Coach Jeff Blanc said he was pleased with his teams play, but he was more pleased that the players have become a true team.

Blanc also acknowledged that the team’s first road trip could present a welcome test.

“It will be a change, but we owe Union,” Blanc said. “They beat us on our home turf [last season], and now we are going to beat them on theirs.  We need to get used to winning at home and away.”

Blanc said he was pleased that the team lacked injuries during a time when injured players were common.

Carbon next squares off against Union on Friday at 7 p.m. in Roosevelt.
