The Carbon High Dinos finished their baseball season at the state tournament against Uintah on May 15. Despite a strong performance, the Dinos lost 5-3.
Carbon entered the matchup down one game in the double elimination tournament. The team opened up strong with three runs in the opening inning. Carbon maintained control of the 3-0 lead through the fourth inning. However, Uintah answered with two runs in the fifth and one in the seventh, tying the game.
The teams battled it out right down to the wire. Unfortunately for the Dinos, Uintah made two runs in the ninth, sealing the win.
