Two hits by the Carbon Dinos were not enough to advance the team in the 3A state tournament as the team fell to Snow Canyon in the one-loss bracket, 9-0.
Snow Canyon got on the board in the first inning, notching two runs to take the lead. The team didn’t look back as it secured two more runs in the third and fourth and three in the sixth.
Jarod Lessar took to the mound for just over five innings for Carbon, striking out four.
The Dinos finished the season 12-12 overall and and 6-2 in region play.
