After four meets, the Carbon Golf team is leading region 12 as they look to a welcome home course advantage this week. The boys will take on four teams on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. at the Carbon Country Club course.

The Dinos currently lead Juab by 38 strokes. Payson is trailing Carbon by 41 strokes. Richfield is in fourth place 70 strokes back and North Sanpete has over 100 strokes to catch the first place Dinos.

Carbon’s golf coach Tom King says that the Dinos had two very good meets to open up region play, but in the last two they have struggled. Since the standings are tallies by overall stroke count, Carbon’s tough meets have allowed Juab and Payson to edge back into contention.
