Though lacking in veteran players, the Carbon High Lady Dinos’ 2016 volleyball season started off with a bang as the team traveled to the Wasatch Festival over the weekend.

Facing off against a number of teams, the Price-based lineup, with only three seniors and six juniors, took a total of five victories at the tourney, falling solely to Timpanogos.

Then, on Tuesday, the team continued its hard work at the net with a trip to Altamont to face off against the rivaling Longhorns.

Taking the second (25-19) and fourth (28-26) games, Carbon would ultimately hand the win to Altamont, who took three of the five games to take the match.

Carbon will hit the road next Tuesday and travel to Union, where the Dinos will hope to secure their next victory against the Cougars.
