On Friday afternoon, the Castle Heights Knights gathered for a special Reflections assembly. Reflections is a PTA-sponsored program that encourages children to create works of art based on the annual theme. For this year, the theme was “Within Reach.”

In conjunction with the theme, the participants worked hard to create entries in literature, music, photography, dance, visual arts and film. A total of 47 entries were submitted; a great number considering that this is the first year in some time that Castle Heights has participated in the program.

Community judges were selected to choose the winners based on a number of themes including creativity, technique and interpretation of theme. The top two winners from each category will now move on to participate in the state level of competition.

“We are proud that they will represent Carbon County well along with Creekview Elementary,” said Reflections Specialist Natalie Palmer.
