A luau hosted by the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce gave appreciation to local businesses on Thursday afternoon.

“We wanted to show all of our businesses not only that we appreciate their loyalty to our community but to also show that when you join the chamber, we like to have fun too,” Jamill Tapia, chamber coordinator, and Deserae Stevenson, assistant coordinator, shared. “Which is why we opened the luau up to the community. It wasn’t only for members; it was also for non members whom are also business owners. We want to make sure everyone sees the benefits that networking can provide for their business.”

The free event boasted lunch for those in attendance along with games, prizes and more. Those in attendance also had the chance to meet other business owners and network.

“We have received a lot of great feed back from our luau and we were pleased to know everyone had a great time,” Tapia and Stevenson concluded.
