Cleveland Family Identified in Fatal Highway 6 Accident

The Utah Highway Patrol verified that the Jacobson family from Cleveland was involved in a fatal accident on Highway 6 on Saturday afternoon. 

The Jacobson family was traveling on Highway 6 when another vehicle pulled onto the highway from SR 89. The family was unable to slow their pickup that was hauling a horse trailer and collided with the vehicle.

Driving the pickup was 38-year-old Landon Jacobson, who suffered critical injuries. Heather Jacobson, Landon’s 38-year-old wife, along with their seven-year-old son Broc, died on scene. Bowdie Jacobson, 16, sustained critical injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle, Amelia Allan from Provo, also suffered critical injuries. The horses were injured but able to walk to a new trailer to be taken to a veterinarian.
