Come Support the Coal and Fossil Fuel Rally Oct. 23

Come support the Coal and Fossil Fuel Rally on Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Carbon County Fairgrounds. Activities begin at 5 p.m.

Special room rates have been negotiated with local motel/hotels in Price for Oct. 22-23. When making a reservation, let the hotel know that you are coming for the rally and receive a discount on the room rate.

Free day camping will also be available. Contact the Carbon County Event Center at (435) 636-3214 for details.

The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office command unit, an ambulance and extra security will be on site throughout the evening to provide a safe and comfortable environment for everyone who attends.

Events are free and all residents are encouraged to attend.

Below is a tentative schedule for the Coal and Fossil Fuel Rally:

5 p.m. – Opening/Welcome – Chad Booth

5:15 p.m. – Food served to first 3,000 people

Kid’s activities begin

Short videos playing, educating public on Fossil Fuels,  EPA regulations and the impact of those regulations.

5:20 p.m. – Color Guard/National Anthem

5:30 p.m. – Representative from Utah Governor’s Office

5:40 p.m. – Commissioner Mike McKee, Uintah County

5:50 p.m. – Facts and statistics – Chad Booth

6 p.m. – Keynote speaker, Alex Epstein

Haunted Abandoned Mine Spook Alley opens

6:45 p.m. – Senator Hinkins

6:55 p.m. – Closing remarks – Chad Booth

7 p.m. – Entertainment band – Kahuna Beach Party
