The Emery County Chamber of Commerce welcomed the Fire Pit Restaurant at a ribbon cutting on Wednesday.

Owners David Sorensen and Kolton World, both Emery County natives, purchased Fatty’s from Garrett and Stacy Conover in September. The restaurant has been completely renovated with a new menu and also features breakfast.

The Fire Pit is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Breakfast hours are 7 to 11 a.m. with lunch being served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and dinner from 4 to 9 p.m. The restaurant also offers delivery for call-ins and catering.

Kayla Carter, the cook at the Fire Pit, has been with the establishment for five years and is also the assistant manager. The new owners are looking forward to an expansion of parking on the west and south, a patio on the main street (north) side and other renovations in the near future.
