Press Release

On July 24, the annual invitational and locally-sanctioned regional cornhole championship tournament was hosted in Price, this year with 16 teams competing.

The 2017 champion team of Ed “The Ambassador” Howa and Miranda Blanton was unable to defend its 2017 championship. A full field of past champions was also participating and vying to become champions again. In the end, all the prior champions and other teams came up short to the 2018 champs; the team of Mark Carrillo and Paul Anderson took the top spot after a grueling double elimination tournament.

The tournament included many hard-fought battles, including several sudden-death overtime matches. Teams from throughout Utah participated as well as teams from Nevada and South Carolina, competing for bragging rights and the coveted midsummer classic trophies.

The tournament began with the national anthem and the team selection and seeding process.

Congratulations to Mark and Paul.
