Seventeen Creekview Elementary Chiefs put on their thinking caps to compete in the Constitution Bee Friday morning. Similar to a spelling bee, the Constitution Bee encourages students to prove how much they have learned about U.S. History.

The students went up to the podium one at a time and each answered questions such as “What is the introduction to the Constitution called?” As students answered incorrectly, the numbers slowly dwindled until only five contestants were left standing.

Isabella Daniel was awarded third place and a prize of $10. Tyler Morris took second place and also received $10. A three-way tie for first place went to Janey VanDyke, Mason Engar and Drake Chappell. These three winners were each given a prize of $40.

Creekview Elementary School thanked the Lions Club for sponsoring this event and providing the students with the award money.
