Carbon baseball won its third straight game Tuesday, sweeping a doubleheader at Juab by a combined score of 21-2. The Lady Dinos, on the other hand, lost their fourth straight game after a 12-2 defeat also in Nephi. Carbon baseball has won five of its last six games overall.

Unbeaten Dino Pitcher Dakota Cisneros picked up his fourth win on the season in game one against the wasps, allowing just three hits in the 10-0 shutout. Jaren McCourt belted his third double and first triple on the season.

The Dinos didn’t let up in game two, scoring in every inning but two, including five in the third to break the game open. Carbon’s Nick Rukavina did it all, picking up his first win on the mound while going 3-4 from the plate including two doubles. Seth Tryon hit his seventh career home run and Dylan Vogrinec legged out two doubles. The Dinos ran away with game two, 11-2.

Since winning two-straight games against Union and Emery in mid-March, the Lady Dinos have dropped four straight, including Tuesday’s game at Juab by the aforementioned 12-2 score.

Jordyn Cave lost her third-straight decision on the mound and the Dinos bats never got going notching a run apiece in the fourth and fifth innings, respectively. The Wasps pounded out 10 hits leading to the 12 runs scored.

The Lady Dinos (4-9) will next travel to Payson Tuesday, starting a string of four-straight games away from Price.

Carbon baseball (9-3) will host Emery on Wednesday, then Delta April 11.
