After winning six-straight games and inching closer to second place in the Region 12 standings, the Carbon Baseball team has dropped two straight, including a 12-0 home loss Thursday to the Payson Lions.

The Dinos managed just two hits in the game.

Starting pitcher Dakota Cisneros kept Carbon very much within reach before the wheels came off in the fifth inning when the Lions scored 11 runs to end the game early.

“There is not much to say about the game,” said head coach Troy Moynier. “We just need to move on.”

With the loss, Cisneros now has a record of 4-3. He went 8-1 a year ago.

Carbon (11-7, 4-4 Region 12) will play Juab (7-9, 3-5 Region 12) twice next week, beginning with a home game on Tuesday.
