Down 21-12 with under two minutes to go in the game, the Carbon Dinos drove nearly the length of the field to see an incomplete pass end the game against the Duchesne Eagles, dropping them to 0-3 on the young season.

After the Eagles scored their first touchdown of the game at the 9:31 mark of the second quarter, the Dinos responded seven minutes later when Noah Jones found Jaylon Dennis on a 53-yard TD pass and catch to cut the lead to two, 8-6.

Duchesne began the third quarter with a seven-minute drive, capped off by another TD to take the 14-6 lead. Again the Dinos cut the lead to two, 14-12, at the 8:52 mark of the fourth on another TD pass from Jones, this time hooking up with Ryker Larsen on a six-yard touchdown.

Duchesne picked off Jones at the 4:31 mark of the fourth on a tipped pass to squash a promising Dino drive, and took the clock all the way down to the 1:58 mark, capping the drive off with another touchdown to push the lead to 21-12. The Dinos were unable to respond.

Carbon (0-3, 0-0 3A North) will have one more game before region play begins in two weeks. The Dinos will travel to Odgen on Friday to take on the Tigers.
