Three Dinos from this year’s varsity baseball team represented the school in the 3A All-Star games this past weekend in Ogden.

Seniors Jarod Lessar and Kaiden Lewis played in the senior all-star game and Cole Fossat took part in the underclassmen game Thursday night. Both games were played at Lindquist Field in Ogden. Carbon head coach Jeff Cisneros was selected to coach the South senior squad during Friday’s game. Dakota Cisneros and Canyon View’s Jason Jacobsen assisted the elder Cisneros in the dugout.

The senior South team, made up of players from Snow Canyon, Pine View, Canyon View, Dixie, North Sanpete and Carbon beat the North team 7-2. South pitchers, including Lessar who pitched one inning and struck out the side, combined to throw a one-hitter in the game.

“Both Jarod and Kaiden played multiple positions in the nine-inning game and both had very good plate appearances,” Cisneros said. “All in all, it was a great game and a very fun and positive experience for all.”

Fossat pitched two innings for the South squad in the underclassmen game Thursday night, striking out five of the six batters he faced, according to Cisneros. The South beat the North in the game 11-2, out-hitting the North 21-5 in the game.
