Dinos Lose Tough Road Tilt in Provo

The Provo Bulldogs got a walk-off win against the visiting Carbon Dinos Wednesday afternoon, 7-6.

Carbon led 6-5 going into the bottom of the seventh and gave up a two-run single to end the game.

The Dinos outhit the 4A Bulldogs 12-7 in the game. Anthony Maclean led Carbon with three hits on the afternoon and knocked in two runs. Cole Fossat had two hits in the game.

Sophomore Jayden Flemmet got the start on the mound for the Dinos and in the last three innings gave up four runs while striking out three. He left with a 5-4 Carbon lead. Fossat came on in the fourth and pitched the remainder of the game and was credited with the loss. He also struck out five.

Carbon scored two runs in the second and three in the third. The Dinos added another in the fifth to round out the scoring.

Carbon (3-7, 0-0 Region 12) will host Union (5-5, 1-1 Region 10) Thursday in the team’s home opener at Ernie Gardner Field in Helper at 3:30 p.m.
