USU Eagles Stay Perfect in SWAC Play

USU Eastern is out to prove that they are a force to be reckoned in the Scenic West Conference this season. They opened conference action with an 85-83 win over Northern Idaho on Thursday night. They followed that up with a big 95-85 victory.

Kendahl Amerson led a strong second half effort with 28 points on Thursday. Janeni Neeley put up 16 to carry the Eagles in the nail biter over NIC.

On Saturday, it was a big first half that helped keep Eastern in the win column. Nafis Walker came off the bench to score 18, Amerson posted 16 and Trahmeu Burrell added 15. Alioune Tew grabbbed 12 rebounds and had 10 points in a double-double.
