After taking first place in the Southern Utah Cal Ripken State Tournament on Saturday, the 11-year-old Carbon All-Stars will now prepare for the Pacific Southwest Regional Tournament in Vernal, which begins July 20. The team will host a variety of fundraisers this week to prepare for the tournament.
On Tuesday and Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m., fundraisers will take place at Sherald’s in Price. On Tuesday, Sherald’s will donated 50% of all drink sales to the team. On Wednesday, the Carbon All-Stars will receive 50% on all ice cream sales. Players will also be selling snow cones outside of Smith’s and Fresh Market Tuesday through Thursday for $1 each.
Thursday evening, the team will have a game at 6:30 p.m. at the Price Majors field. Pulled pork sandwiches and chips will be available for for $5 a plate beginning at 6 p.m.
Friday, the team will be washing cars for $5 each at Super Sudsy car wash owned by Gary and Shane Rea at 975 East 100 North in Price.
Donations are welcome at any location.
