Emery County Included in Issued Wind Advisory

A wind advisory has been released for a number of counties in Utah, including Emery, Juab, Beaver and more. Released at 11:23 a.m. on Monday, the advisory will remain in effect until 8 p.m.

The winds are predicted to be southwest and upward to 35 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 MPH. The areas of strongest impact are supposed to be strong crosswinds on Interstates 15 and 70, Highway 50 across West Central Utah and Highway 89 across South Central Utah.

These crosswinds will impact driving conditions. It is cautioned that high profile vehicles as well as those towing trailers or boats will be most susceptible. A wind advisory cautions that sustained wind speeds minimum of 31 mph or gusts of 45 MPH are expected.
