Press Release

The Emery County Librarians had a training in the Swell Conference Room on Thursday, Dec. 14. They reviewed library policies and procedures. Patrons will notice that the fine limit has been increased from $5 to $10, which means that instead of restricting check out at $5, it is now $10.
The library offers different ways of paying off fines. For example: four months of the year, patrons can pay off their fines with food. The food is then donated to the Emery County Food Bank. This year, the Emery County Libraries donated over 100 pounds of food that they received through this program.
This year for the Christmas Season, the librarians donated Christmas gifts to the Friendship Center in Price, and gently used clothing to the Clothing Closet.
The librarians of Emery County are very happy to provide these things to the community.
