Emery County Commissioners held a special meeting on Monday for consideration and approval of a bid for the sheriff’s office building to receive a heating and air conditioning unit upgrade.

Commission Chair Jeff Horrocks opened and read two bids for the upgrade project. The first was from A. Johnson Heating Inc. in Wellington and the second from Precise Plumbing and Heating in Midvale.

Both companies had all of the appropriate paperwork in order, however, the commissioners were unable to make a decision at the meeting.

JR Nelson made a motion to authorize the commission chair to accept or reject bids after consulting with project engineers Johansen and Tuttle, Emery County Clerk/Auditor Brenda Tuttle and Emery County Sheriff Greg Funk.

The next regularly scheduled Emery County Commission meeting will be held Nov. 28 at 9:00 a.m. at the Emery County Courthouse.
