The Lady Spartans hosted the San Juan Broncos for a region matchup on Tuesday evening. The sophomore and junior varsity teams both took loses on the night.
In the varsity game, Emery put up a tough battle, playing five games total. Each of the games were back and forth with Emery losing the first set 25-22. The team fought back and won the second 25-23 and barely lost the third 26-24 before winning the fourth and fifth games 25-22 and 17-15.
Megan Jensen was big in the game with 11 kills while Camrey Johnson put up 53 assists. Senior Jessica Olsen contributed with 17 digs and two service aces.
Emery will travel to North Sevier on Thursday for a matchup.
