Emery battled Union for homecoming on Friday where a 42-point lead in the first half skyrocketed the Cougars to a 49-7 win over the Spartans.
Union connected strong plays throughout the first half, earning 13 points in the first quarter and 29 in the second. Both teams remained scoreless in the third.
Emery was finally able to put points on the board in the fourth. The late rally was not enough to redeem Emery after Union scored once again and ran away with the 49-7 win.
