The Emery Spartans paved their way to the second round of the state playoffs with a game against Millard on Saturday. The team then fell to a tough competitor in Enterprise later that day in the second round.
The Spartans started the day with an impressive 11-1 win over Region 13’s Millard. Emery had a tougher time against Enterprise, who led Region 13 this season. Enterprise slipped past the Spartans, 12-7.
Because the playoffs are a double elimination tournament, Emery will take on Parowan on Thursday in Spanish Fork. The game is slated for 11 a.m.
