The weekend rodeos in Tooele were tough for several of the area’s cowboys and girls. However, those that scored did very well. The Rhodes brothers, Kolton and Kagen, scored favorably in the shooting sports. Kolton was first both in the Grantsville and Tooele Longhorn’s rodeos in the rifle shoot. Kagen also placed in the top ten both days. They both also placed in the top in the trap shoot both days.

In the timed events arena, Hayden Cloward had very successful rodeos. He and his partner were first in team roping both days, roping both times in less than six seconds; 5.4 and 5.9 seconds. He also was second in tie down roping and won the all-around award on Saturday. Will and Wyatt Magnuson also placed seventh on Friday in team roping.

This last weekend Juab and Spanish Fork hosted the rodeos. They were Preference Rodeos. Contestants could prefer which rodeo performance for their competition. In both rodeos Kagen and Kolton Rhodes placed in both the rifle shooting sport. Kagen placed 4th and 5th, Kolton was 5th and 6th. In the Trap shoot Emery team member, Ruger Payne placed 7th.

Korby Christiansen placed 8th and Drake Weber was 5th in Reining Cow Horse. Hayden Cloward had another very successful weekend placing 1st and 2nd in Tie Down roping and second in Team roping.

The next weekend the teams travel to Tremonton and Logan.
