Food for Thought: Celebrate Dr. Seuss

By Patti Rigby

Brightening up the mood and making meal times fun can entice a child to eat more of their lunch or try a new fruit or vegetable. Dr. Seuss’s birthday was an opportunity for the lunch ladies and lunch lad at Wellington Elementary to go all out!

Our menu consisted of Cat in the Hat Pizza, 1 Fish 2 Fish Crackers, Who-Hash Tots, Lorax Carrots, Apples on Top and Moose Juice Milk.

We had Dr. Seuss book drawings and a very enjoyable time helping students get excited about feeding their minds as well as their bodies!
