Former Sheriff’s Deputy Facing Felony Charges

The Carbon County Attorney’s Office filed charges against former Carbon County Sherriff’s Deputy Christopher Basso yesterday.

Chief Deputy Tom Stefanoff said that Basso had been terninated by the department on February 5. Basso is charged with burglary, a third degree felony, two counts of possesion of a controlled substance, a second degree felony, and a single count of evidence tampering, a class AВ misdemeanor. The possesion of controlled substance charges were in a drug free zone and will be enhanced.
