Fossat Bashes Two Homers, Carbon Thumps Union

Cole Fossat continued his stellar senior campaign in Monday’s matchup with Union. Not only did the Dinos beat the Cougars 12-5, Fossat went 4-5 with two homers and a double while racking up three RBIs.

Anthony Maclean followed up his 4-4 outing against Maple Mountain with a three-hit game against Union, going 3-4 on three singles and three RBIs. Cody Lowe, Dallyn Mower and Mitch Olson also had multi-hit games. The Dinos smacked 15 total hits in the game.

Carbon used three pitchers in the game, with Austin Henrie getting the win after throwing three innings and giving up just one earned run. Zac Bradley also pitched three innings and gave up two runs. Olson saw an inning on the mound and struck out two of the three batters he faced.

Carbon scored five runs in each of the second and sixth innings.

The Dinos (4-5, 0-0 Region 12) have won four straight games after dropping their first five, outscoring their opponents 50-14 during the streak. Carbon will next play Canyon View on April 5 to begin Region 12 play.
