Press Release

PRICE, UT—Frankie Tapia claimed the inaugural Price City Pooch and Hooch Pinball Tournament Championship Saturday evening in Price.

The field of 16 elite pinball players from the area was cut in half to eight after an extensive qualifying period that featured four pinball machines. The field of eight was reduced to four after the semifinals, setting up the championship finale.

Tapia, who entered the playoff as the number seven seed, was joined by Jordan Buscarini, Cody Bunderson and Sonny Buscarini in the tournament’s title game.

Bunderson, who qualified as the tournament’s number three seed, finished second, followed by Sonny Buscarini in third. Jordan Buscarini entered the playoff as the number one seed following qualifying, but ended fourth in the championship match.

Trophies were awarded for first and second place as well as the overall qualifying winner. The Pooch and Hooch Pinball Organization will return with another tournament in November.
