Gagon Family Medicine Expanding to Emery County

Gagon Family Medicine will soon see its team grow as the well known medical providers expand their reach to Emery County.

The expansion to Huntington’s Main Street, which is currently in the works, will have the team growing from its current number of 22 to nearly 30 staff members to provide care to Castle Country residents.

“We are out of room in our current building,” said Gina Gagon, Practice Administrator. “We needed more space. We looked at what percent of our patients come from Emery County and about 30% of our patients drive to Price from the neighboring county. If we go to them, that opens space over here and allows us to better serve our Emery County patients.”

Plans for the newest branch began two years ago and are expected to be completed in the summer of 2017. With local business Circle K Construction handling the project along with other local companies, the project is moving at a fast pace as crews work hard  to meet the anticipated deadline.

The new space in Huntington comes from the purchase of a spare building owned by Earl’s Furniture and Appliance. The building offers 7,400 square feet to work with, which will be converted to offer nine exams rooms as well as an x-ray room, on-site lab and a highly anticipated drive thru pharmacy.

“Our goal is to provide the very best care we possibly can and to make it seamless between locations,” Gagon said.

This seamless approach will be made possible by medical providers and staff that will work between both locations. Dr. Max Morgan will be a part of the team as a full-time provider while Tiffany Noyes, DNP, will also join the team this summer. Along with the current providers, Dr. Shane Gagon, Jeanee Hunt, PA-C, and Donna Mathis, FNP-BC, the staff will travel between Carbon and Emery counties to offer services to residents.

“Medical records will be available in both locations,” Gagon said. “Patients will receive the exact same service in Huntington as they do in Price. Patients can also be seen at both locations depending on their wants and needs.”

While there are no immediate plans for the Huntington branch to offer urgent care services, availability of medical services will be a priority.

“We do always make every effort to get people in when they are sick, to get them seen when they need to be seen,” said Gagon.

If patients require service outside of regular office hours, the Price location will still aim to fill the need seven days per week during its urgent care hours.

Once the newest addition to Gagon Family Medicine is complete, new and existing patients will be welcomed to the Huntington branch Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. To schedule an appointment or for more information, please call (435) 613-2200 or visit www.gagonfamilymedicine.com.
