Gagon Family Medicine was recently named one of the few recipients of the HealthInside Quality Award in Utah. The local office was one of only 45 physician offices in Utah that received the award.
Since 2004, HealthInsight has recognized Medicare-certified providers for demonstrating high quality health care and excellence in performance on publicly reported quality of care measures. Quality of care measures come from patient information that is collected from home health agencies, nursing homes and hospitals.
“These measures provide one piece of information that consumers can use to decide how well providers care for their patients,” HealthInsight shared.
The recipients of the HealthInsight Physician Office Quality Award were announced Sept. 16 at the Utah Medical Association House of Delegates meeting. Awardees will be honored and given their award at the HealthInsight Annual Quality Conference on Nov. 1.
“These outstanding physician office practices have shown a commitment to improving health care quality for the residents of our state and we are pleased to honor them for their hard work and dedication to delivering quality health care,” said Juliana Preston, HealthInsight Utah’s executive director.
