In light of the recent controversy revolving around last week’s graduation night bust, one local man recognized that with a community-wide issue, there is hope for a positive outcome.
Cody Bunderson, owner of Fierce MMA & Fitness, has taken it upon himself to offer an outlet for local youth to channel their time and energy in a safe environment. With the community’s overwhelming struggle with alcohol and drugs, Bunderson hopes he can be a part of the solution.
“We as a county, we need to get better,” Bunderson said. “We have to get better. This drug problem, it’s becoming an epidemic down here and we have to find a solution.”
That is why for the month of June, youth ages five to 18 can enjoy the classes offered at Fierce for free.
“There is a positive outlet here,” Bunderson said. “There are multiple positive outlets here in the county. I want to share with you one of those positive outlets that helped me change my life, that helped me save my life.”
For no cost, youth will be able to enjoy classes Monday through Thursday at Fierce MMA & Fitness. Classes take place in the evenings and are divided into age groups.
“No excuses now,” said Bunderson. “Join us; let’s take the first step in the right direction.”
