Head-On Collision Results in Injuries, Traffic Delays on Highway 6

A two-vehicle accident on Highway 6 resulted in medical transport of two persons and traffic impediment on Friday afternoon.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 12:15 p.m. at mile post 211 when one vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming vehicles. Reports state that a gray Honda, driven by a 21-year-old male, crossed the line for unknown reasons and collided with an oncoming Dodge Ram, driven by a 47-year-old female.

UHP reported that the male was transported by helicopter for medical attention with injuries that are not life threatening. The female was also transported, but by ground ambulance, for injuries that were deemed not life threatening.

Westbound traffic has been impacted as crews work on scene. According to the Highway Patrol, the westbound lane will be closed until approximately 4 p.m., but traffic is still being directed through.
