The Utah American Legion All-Star game was played at Spring Mobile Ballpark on Saturday night. Four Players from Helper were part of the Salt Lake Valley All-Star team. Players from Helper included Bryce Blackburn, Dakota Cisneros, Derek Young and Tyler Procarione.

Helper Coach Jeff Cisneros said that they all played well and contributed to their team’s success. The Salt Lake Valley All-Stars defeated the North All-Stars by a score of 7-6. Derek Young singled in the bottom of the ninth, scoring Dakota Cisneros to win the game for the SLV All-Stars.

“The game was very well played and was enjoyed by all who attended. The Bees’ organization was very pleased and expressed how impressed they were with our players and fans,” Coach Cisneros said. “Thank you to all that attended and supported this event. I encourage everyone to attend this week’s games and help us wrap up a very successful 2013 season.”

Helper will host three games this week with first pitch at 7 p.m., starting with West Jordan Monday night, then Judge and Olympus on Thursday and Friday, respectively.

Helper will host the American Legion All-Star Game on Saturday at 7 p.m. Currently, Helper sits atop the league standings after Cyprus lost to Judge last week.
