Helper City Mayor Signs Grant to Receive $17,600 for Fire Turnout Gear


Helper City Mayor Lenise Peterman recently announced great news on the grant front. Mayor Peterman signed to receive funds totaling $17,600 that will go toward the purchase of fire turnout gear for the local fire personnel.

The gear, Mayor Peterman explained, is technically sophisticated material that consists of pants, a jacket, boots and helmets that contribute a great deal to keeping the firefighters safe in emergency situations.

Mayor Peterman expressed her thanks to the USDA for the funding.
