Horseshoe Competitors Take Part in Latest Tournament During Energy Days

During the many festivities that took place on the Fourth of July this year, horseshoe competitors took part in the Energy Days Horseshoe Tournament Wednesday evening. A grand total of 22 teams competed at the tournament this year.

Erick Trejo and Tommy Elkface came up on top of the tournament in first place while Ricky Neal Sandoval and Josh Eden followed behind the duo in second place. Randi Williams and BJ Davis snagged the third place finish.

Horseshoe enthusiasts can once again take to the pits on Saturday, July 7 during the Warrior Days Celebration. Registration starts at 11 a.m. at the Carbon County Fairgrounds. The cost is $20 per team with a cash pot awarded to the top three teams. Shoes will fly at 12 p.m.
