Junior high schools from throughout Carbon and Emery counties gathered on Friday for the annual solo and ensemble choir and band competition. Canyon View, San Rafael, Mont Harmon and Helper junior high schools competed at the event at USU Eastern.
Solo and ensemble groups competed in three categories: choir, instrumental and piano. An awards assembly was held at the end of the competition to honor those who ranked highest in each category.
