Kolton Does It Again!

Kolton Rhodes, Carbon Rodeo team member, beat his own score in the light rifle shooting on Saturday at the Dixie #2 rodeo.

Last week, he beat the state record with a score of 345 and came back even more determined and scored 346 points to once again beat the state record. His parents jokingly told him if he kept that up he would score a perfect 360 and he is only a few points away. As a senior, what a way to end your high school career? He was also first on Friday with younger brother Kagen close behind placing sixth and seventh.

In the trap shoot, Kagen was first on Friday and eighth on Saturday while Kolton notched a second-place finish.

In the junior high school division of light rifle shooting, Ryter Ekker took second and third, Thomas McElprang notched eighth and ninth, and Kashley Rhodes, younger sister of Kolton and Kagen, placed ninth and seventh.
