The Emery High Lady Spartan volleyball team came out strong but finished with a whimper as visiting San Juan High left Castle Dale with a win Thursday night.
San Juan won the match 23-25, 25-20, 25-22 and 25-17.
Emery just couldn’t match its game one fierceness as San Juan shook off the slow start.
Emery currently sits in a fourth-place tie with South Sevier. Emery next hosts Richfield at 6 p.m. Saturday.
